Machines don't do business
People do business
But for a while there I was performing as one
(A machine obviously)
I've always been a person...

A Bit About Me
...in the end, people care far more about connection than perfection.
I didn't always know that.
I learned it the long way.

My first real job was teaching — a year as a soccer coach and English teacher inside a community upliftment programme. I loved it in a way I didn't fully understand at the time. Then I did the sensible thing: a finance degree, and straight into a boutique investment team working with high-net-worth clients. I was young, ambitious, and it rewarded me. Money, adrenaline, and performance became the things that drove me — but the teaching stayed with me. I thought about it more often than I expected to.

I later moved into wealth management, specialised, studied estate planning, and spent years building strategies for individuals, trusts, and companies — often all three for the same family. I became a point of contact for our institutional and pension-fund clients, which meant I was regularly in the room with the people making the decisions. The work was professional. It was also, almost always, deeply personal.

That was the part that stayed with me. I saw the allure of a professional life at that level — and I saw its cost. I watched, up close, that all the money in the world can't buy a person a life they actually want to be present in.

So I am building something different.
These days my work is coaching, and my life is full of the thing I'd been missing — connection. With family, with clients, and with the ordinary moments I was once too busy to notice, which turned out to be the extraordinary ones. Outside of work you'll usually find me reading, writing, cooking, helping out at a local music club, or walking my dogs. (That's Douglas The Brave over on that couch next to me...)

Here's what those years in boardrooms taught me about communication: the people who landed weren't the ones with the most polished language. They were the ones who were present — clear, calm, and genuinely connected to the room, even under pressure. That's what I coach. Not perfect English. Not performance. The ability to think clearly, speak with authority, and connect with people when it matters — whether English is your first language or your fourth.
Who I work with
International professionals
Emerging English speaking leaders
Companies and teams
Second language professionals who need their Business English and executive presence to match the level they're already operating at.
Strong English speakers who want clearer thinking, sharper communication, and more agility because they realise that good communication is one of the key levers to professional success.
Collectives and businesses who need their meetings, presentations, and client conversations to actually land.
Different starting points — the same goal: clarity, confidence, and connection under pressure.
